Acrylic Fabricator

TP Human Capital are currently recruiting for an Experienced Acrylic Fabricator in the Townsville area. We are looking for someone who is capable of fabricating a variety of products including Acrylic/Polycarbonate/PVC/HDPE & more and can lead by example in the workshop.

About the Role:

• Ensure all Fabrication is carried out as per plan to meet required delivery dates
• Development of improvements for team, processes and design.
• In conjunction with the Manager plan and implement Maintenance plans for all hand tools and equipment in the fabrication area.
• Maintain stocks and assist the Manager in maintaining min / max stock levels.
• Assist in career development as required for staff and self.
• Liaise with the Manager and participate in a team approach across the business to focus on delivering optimum labour efficiency.
• On an ongoing basis maintain the 5S QMI method of maintaining and organising the fabrication environment.
• Ensure no products pass through Fabrication without 100% quality checking and standards compliance as required.

About you:

• 12 months minimum in a similar role
• Acrylic Fabricator Trade Certificate preferred but not essential
• Current Manual Drivers Licence (essential) & forklift ticket (desirable)
• Creative team player who supports other team members sharing your knowledge with the less experienced team members to deliver the results.
• Enjoys relationship building and consistently delivers high quality of service.
• Able to think on your feet and make appropriate and calculated decisions
• Eagerness to improve current methods and develop improvements enhancing efficiency
